Checking and Changing Screen Resolution
1.) Click the Start menu button on the Windows taskbar.
2.) Go to Settings and click Control Panel on the menu that opens to the right.
3.) Once in Control Panel, double-click on the Display icon.
4.) Double-clicking the Display icon will open a window that looks like the one shown below. Click on the settings tab in the new window. (Highlighted in brown in the picture.)
5.) Under the settings tab find the slider highlighted below.
6.) Move the slider until it shows 800 x 600, then click Apply, and then click OK. If you are prompted to restart the computer, do so. In Windows 2000 and XP you will be asked if you would like to keep the setting. If you do not click Yes within 15 seconds the computer will revert to the previous setting.
